Changing existing text box to multi-line

I'm sure it's simple but so am I. Have an existing text box that is "single line" in designer in property editor that I want to redesign to be multi-line text, but the drop-down in editor (now "single line") is grayed-out and won't allow me to choose otherwise. Of course there is data in this existing box as single line. Using vs 2.5.2 under Windows XP. Thanks.

Hello,

On the text tab of the Property Editor, change the Set dropdown from "Label" to "Text" and then you will be able to change the Single Line dropdown to Multi Line.

Thanks.
Having done so and reconciled dsr with db I now get these error messages: "Unable to open application file to write" and "DatabaseC:\Sesame2\Data\Stock.db failed to open. Error: failure while loading application C:\Sesame2\Data\Stock.db". Fortunately I have a recent backup and can use it but it still has the field as single-line. Strange. Anybody have a thought?

Hello Gene,

The error "Unable to open application file to write" can occur if the file is set to be read-only perhaps by a backup or antivirus program. It can also occur if you try to open the DB file while Sesame designer is still reconciling it as the files will also be read-only then.
