Cannot unlock my Database

Hello !
I can ´t open my database.

Using the  Server Administration ---> user: admin   password: hello  ---> Unlock Application -----> selecting RECHNUNG.DB ----> failed to unlock!

Using SUNLOCK C:\Sesame2\Utilities\Lantica\Sunlock.exe C:\Sesame2\Data\RECHNUNG.db --> Error: cannot open Database   

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hello Amor,

This can happen if the DB file is currently loaded by another Sesame process. So the first thing to check is that you don't have a copy of Sesame minimized someplace that is using that DB file, or if you are running Client/Server that the Server does not have that DB file loaded. If the Sesame Server does have that db file loaded, you can use Unload Application in Server Administration.

The second thing to check is that the DB and DAT files are not set to be read-only in Windows Explorer. We've seen this happen sometime with anti-virus programs.

Hello Ray,

The  DB file is currently not loaded by another Sesame process.
The Server does not have that DB file loaded.

The DB and DAT files are not set to be read-only in Windows Explorer.
