Sort By Timestamp

I have a user that wants to sort a result set by most recently modified. I found "Sort By Timestamp" mentioned in the User Manual but the heck if I can find it on the Results Menu of commands, where it is supposed according to the documentation.

Am I blind or am I missing something?

Nope, not blind -- a good catch.

"Sort By Timestamp" is among the "advanced commands" that are excluded by the button-view menus. You can turn on the advanced commands by enabling tree-view menus in the sesame.ini file:

MENU STYLE: TREE

These commands were removed from the button-view menus at the request of several users, but since you have now asked for their return, I'll add a sesame.ini file entry that enables them in button-view.

Thanks so much...my users are easily, umm, shocked and overwhelmed by change, so in the interim I will carefully and selectively enable the tree menu for certain capable users.  Cool

Where would I check for feature changes like this? Is there an addendum published somewhere?

The errata and addendum comes with each release of Sesame as a PDF file. It is also online at:

https://www.lantica.com/Files/errata.pdf

I don't know if it mentions this change in particular.
