Working database and all backups locked

Long time lurker who has hit an odd problem.

Have a number of databases that go back to Q&A days that have worked successfully for many years.  We use the auto backup feature to ensure that we have adequate backups and these files are moved off the server for safety.

Finally had a major server crash with about half the databases locked (and will not unlock using either server administrator or the sunlock utility).   Not problem I thought, revert to the backup.

Problem:  working database and all backup copies report locked. Have tried unlocking on copies but no result.

Any suggestions or options?  The data in four or five of these is rather needed.

Thanks

Hi Ron,

When you go to unlock the files, What does the status box say after clicking the "Unlock Selected Application" button?

When I click on unlock the status box displays the following:

Unlocked C:\sesame2\Data\Admin\AlpStaff.db

Hi Ron,

Well that's correct. But the files are still saying locked? Can you send the C:\sesame2\Data\Admin\AlpStaff.db and C:\sesame2\Data\Admin\AlpStaff.dat files to support@lantica.com along with the s2_log0000.log file from the C:\Sesame2 directory?
