How can I view the server's log file when I am running client/server?
The log viewer in the Server Administration dialog only allows you to view the log file from the local machine. If you view the log from a machine connected as a client to a server, you are viewing the client's log file - not the server's.
To view the log from a different machine, you can run Sesame in standalone mode (not client/server) on that machine. You can then use Server Administration to access the server's log file.
If you do not have physical access to the server, you can use remote desktop utilities such as XWindows (X11), Remote Desktop, VNC, etc.
If the server does not have a graphical user interface, you will need to transfer the log file (s2_log0000.log) to your local machine.
